Services & Capabilities
What types of drone services do you offer?
Amped Aerial provides aerial data acquisition for mapping, LiDAR, thermal inspection, construction documentation, infrastructure inspection, and real-estate aerial media. The scope is confirmed for the requested project.
What areas do you serve?
Amped Aerial serves Southern and Central California. Availability for a particular site is confirmed after we review the location and project requirements.
How are project schedules set?
Project schedules are scoped after we review the site, weather and airspace requirements, processing needs, and requested deliverables. Your quote will identify the planned delivery schedule and any time-sensitive considerations.
Can you fly drones at night or in bad weather?
We review the location, weather, airspace, and site requirements before confirming an operation. If operating conditions do not meet the project requirements, we discuss another schedule or approach with you.
Do you provide the raw data or just processed deliverables?
The deliverables, formats, and any request for source data are identified in the project quote. Availability depends on the agreed scope and intended workflow.
Pricing & Packages
How much do your drone services cost?
Pricing is quoted after reviewing scope, location, site conditions, deliverables, and scheduling requirements. Contact us to discuss your project and receive a project-specific quote.
How are recurring or multi-project needs quoted?
We review the requested scope, locations, schedule, and deliverables for recurring or multi-project work. The resulting quotation identifies the project-specific arrangements.
What is included in your pricing?
The quote identifies the agreed scope, including planned data capture, deliverables, and any processing or site requirements. Items outside the agreed scope are discussed before work is scheduled.
How are travel and multi-site requirements handled?
Travel, access, and multi-site requirements are reviewed as part of the quote. Any applicable arrangements are identified in writing before booking.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment method and timing are provided with your quote or booking materials. Contact us if your project has specific invoicing requirements.
Regulations & Safety
How do you address pilot and operating requirements?
Amped Aerial plans operations around applicable airspace, site, and operating requirements. Its lead pilot holds an ITC Level I sUAS Thermography credential; project-specific documentation can be discussed during planning.
Do you have insurance?
Yes. Amped Aerial is insured. Insurance documentation and site requirements can be discussed as part of project planning.
Can you fly drones anywhere?
No. Locations and conditions may require review or authorization. We confirm applicable access, airspace, and site requirements before scheduling.
What safety measures do you take during operations?
Each operation is planned around the site conditions and applicable operating requirements. If conditions do not support the planned work, we discuss the appropriate next step with the project contacts.
What happens if the drone crashes or damages property?
We assess and document unexpected operational issues as appropriate to the location and project requirements, then communicate with the relevant project contacts. Insurance and site documentation requirements are discussed during project planning.
Booking & Process
How do I book a drone service?
Request a quote through the contact form or by phone. We review your project requirements, provide a project-specific quote, and confirm the schedule after the scope is agreed.
When should I contact you about a project?
Contact us as early as practical so we can review site access, airspace, weather, required deliverables, and availability. We will confirm the proposed schedule with your quote before work is booked.
What information do you need from me to start a project?
Please share the project location, requested deliverables, preferred schedule, known site access restrictions, and the relevant project contact. We may ask for additional details needed to prepare the project scope.
What happens if weather causes a cancellation?
If weather or site conditions prevent the planned operation, we review the schedule with you. Any timing or booking arrangements are handled according to the project quote.
How will I receive my files?
Delivery method, file formats, and access arrangements are identified in the project scope. We confirm the delivery workflow with you before work begins.
LiDAR Services
What is drone LiDAR and how does it differ from photogrammetry?
LiDAR uses laser pulses to create a point-cloud representation of a site. Photogrammetry uses overlapping imagery to produce project data. The appropriate approach depends on the site, ground cover, deliverables, and workflow.
What deliverables do you provide from a LiDAR scan?
Requested LiDAR deliverables are defined in the project scope. Depending on the scope, they may include point clouds, terrain or surface models, intensity data, and project documentation in agreed formats.
What level of precision can drone LiDAR data support?
LiDAR precision depends on site conditions, flight planning, control methods, vegetation, and the required deliverables. We scope the control plan and data requirements with your project team, then provide formats your licensed engineer or mapping professional can review and certify.
What types of projects benefit most from LiDAR?
LiDAR can be considered when project teams need site, terrain, corridor, infrastructure, or vegetation data. We review the site's requirements and intended deliverables before recommending a capture approach.
How much does drone LiDAR scanning cost?
LiDAR pricing is quoted after reviewing the site, scope, deliverables, and scheduling requirements. Contact us for a project-specific quote.
Technical Details
What photo, video, and thermal formats do you provide?
Capture specifications are selected for the requested deliverables, site conditions, and intended workflow. We confirm the planned photo, video, mapping, and radiometric thermal formats in the project scope before work begins.
Can you create 3D models from drone data?
Three-dimensional models, point clouds, and mesh surfaces can be included where they suit the project. Any proposed outputs and formats are identified in the project scope.
What file formats do you provide?
Requested photo, video, mapping, model, and report formats are confirmed in the project scope. We discuss delivery requirements and metadata needs with the project team before work begins.
How is aerial-data precision planned?
We use a project-specific flight and control plan, which may include precision GNSS positioning and ground control where appropriate. The required deliverables and positional requirements are confirmed with the project team and, when applicable, the licensed professional responsible for final review or certification.
What if I don't have a licensed engineer or mapping professional for my project?
Amped Aerial provides aerial data acquisition. If a project needs work that must be performed, reviewed, or certified by a licensed professional, identify that professional and the required workflow during project planning.
Can you integrate with my existing software or workflow?
Tell us about the software and workflow your project uses. We discuss the requested formats and integration needs as part of the project scope.
